The Inn is located just a ten minute walk across open fields from Lower Slaughter, situated on the banks of the little River Eye. With great scenery and a taste of rural English life.

Bourton-on-the-Water is within easy walk of the pub.  It is an extremely picturesque village with the Windrush stream cascading through its centre; its ancient cottages, charming shops and little stone bridges make it an ideal place for a quiet browse or stroll around some of the activities listed below:

  • Birdland–Natural setting parkland and gardens inhabited with over 500 species of birds including the only King Penguin in England.
  • Dragonfly Maze – A Yew Hedge Maze with rebuse puzzle.
  • Cotswold Perfumery Ltd – A retail museum of perfumery, with ability to produce individual and personal scents.
  • Cotswold Motor Museum – For car enthusiasts,  over 30 classic cars, including the very famous Children’s Brum Toy museum packed with showcases of memorabilia.
  • Bourton Model Railway & Toy Shop – One of the largest operating indoor model railways, covering 500sq feet and fascinating to all ages.
  • Model Village – A 1/10 scale replica of the village of Bourton-on-the-Water.

    Families will particularly enjoy the wide variety of wild animals and other attractions at the Cotswold Wildlife Park they could also visit the Cotswold Farm Park where children can enjoy bottle feeding the lambs and baby goats as well as enjoying the park and other attractions which will keep your children entertained all day.  Both are only a short drive from the Inn.

  • Cheltenham race course is also approximately 15 miles away and for the more adventurous the beautiful waterways of Stratford upon Avon is only a 40 minute drive away.
